The so-called New Castle was finally opened to the public in 2008 and now many of the rooms shine with either restored or new glory. The castle houses a permanent exhibition on the life and work Prince Hermann von Pückler-Muskau, and the tower offers spectacular views of the park.
Dramatic history: Mock carriage ride through Pückler's garden dream
Exhibition “Pückler? Pückler! Catch him if you can”
Just who was Hermann von Pückler-Muskau? It's impossible to paint a true picture of the charismatic prince; a consummate self-promoter, he loved playing with different identities. In the exhibition, he gives his own commentary, and you experience his captivating charm during a ride in a carriage, in the theatre, in films and in fascinating exhibits.
